MSC UK Way Forward

Ipsos was commissioned by the Department of Health's Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) to carry out an analysis of responses to the consultation on Modernising Scientific Careers (MSC).

The consultation took place between 26 November 2008 and 6 March 2009, and was available online at www.dh.gov.uk/cso.

A total of 980 responses were received (185 from organisations and 795 from individuals), including organisations, individuals and professionals.

The report pulls together the analysis (conducted by Ipsos) of the responses and also findings of two deliberative events, one held in Liverpool on 22 July 2009 and one held in London on 27 July 2009.
