Out of hours GP services

The survey was used as part of the evidence base for a value for money study on out of hours GP services carried out by the NAO. The full report published by the NAO can be found here.

Technical note

Results are based on a total of 883 responses from adults, aged 18+ in England and the survey was conducted between the 2nd and 12th May 2014.

Surveys were completed face-to-face via CAPI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) on the Ipsos omnibus (CAPIbus).

An ‘*’ indicates a score less than 0.5%, but greater than zero. Where percentages do not add up to 100 this is due to computer rounding or multiple responses.

Base sizes of fewer than 100 respondents should be treated with caution. Bases of fewer than 30 should be treated with extreme caution and be seen as indicative only.

The data are weighted by age, gender, region and working status to ensure they are nationally representative.
