Smoking in Films Omnibus Research

This research, conducted on behalf of Weber Shandwick for Nicorette, was a survey into people's smoking habits and the impact on these habits when they see film stars and celebrities smoking.

This research was conducted on behalf of Weber Shandwick for Nicorette. It was a survey into people's smoking habits and the impact on these habits when they see film stars and celebrities smoking. It also asked people what they thought about seeing a film star using an inhalator as opposed to smoking a cigarette in a movie.

Technical note:

  • Number of respondents: 976 respondents aged 15 - 45 in GB.
  • Interviews were conducted face-to-face160in house via Ipsos's omnibus service, Capibus, from April 16th - 22nd 2010. 171 sample points were used
  • Data weighted to the known population of GB adults aged 15 - 45: Weighted on Gender, Age, Region, Social Grade and Working Status
  • Where results do not sum to 100%, this may be due to computer rounding, multiple responses, or the exclusion of "don't know" categories.
