Testing the Eatwell Week Resource
Testing of `eatwell week', a week-long menu of meals and snacks designed to demonstrate to consumers how to create a healthy balanced diet.
Ipsos, in collaboration with a team from the Department of Human Nutrition at the University of Glasgow, were commissioned to conduct a project for the Food Standards Agency. The work involved the design and testing of a resource for ‘eatwell week’, an extension of the ‘eatwell plate’ (a visual aid in the form of a plate of food which shows the types and proportions of foods people need to have a healthy and well balanced diet). A week-long menu with meal-by-meal colour photographs was designed, to demonstrate to consumers how to create a balanced diet. Ipsos tested the resource among consumers and professionals using a series of reconvened focus groups. Read the report on the Food Standards Agency website
