About the Study
A total of 2,051 surveys were conducted online among US residents aged 65 or older between April 30 - May 21, 2024. The sample includes 102 respondents in Arizona, 171 respondents in California, 167 respondents in Florida, 131 respondents in Nevada, 117 respondents in North Carolina, and 130 respondents in Texas. The poll has a credibility interval of plus or minus 2.7 percentage points for all respondents, plus or minus 11.9 percentage points for respondents in Arizona, plus or minus 9.2 percentage points for respondents in California, plus or minus 9.3 percentage points for respondents in Florida, plus or minus 10.5 percentage points for respondents in Nevada, plus or minus 11.1 percentage points for respondents in North Carolina, and plus or minus 10.5 percentage points for respondents in Texas.
The group labeled Nat’l (national 65+) is representative of the US Census of those age 65 or older on age, gender, region, income, and race. Additional surveys were collected in the states of Arizona, Nevada, and North Carolina to reach a minimum sample size of 100 per state for analysis purposes. The additional “boost” surveys in these states were weighted down to avoid over-representation within the National representation. The states of Texas, California, and Florida are also part of state analysis; boost sample was not necessary in these states.
Weights were only applied at the national level (individual states were not weighted separately). State-level findings are not representative of the state's 65+ population and reflect the findings of these participants only.
