En Marche’s Macron is in the lead to become the next President of France according to the latest Ipsos/Sopra Steria poll of likely voters who were aware of the first-round results.

62% of those surveyed intend to support Macron, who is well ahead of Le Pen (38%) by nearly 25 points. 

Vote transfers between the first and the second round are very favorable to Macron: 62% of Mélenchon supporters, 48% of Fillon, supporters, and 79% of Hamon supporters intend to vote for Macron in the second round. And uncertainty is low - 92% of those who say they will vote for Macron declare that their choice is definite. Even Le Pen’s supporters are split regarding her chances of victory: 40% believe that she will win, but the same proportion predict a victory for Macron.
