The festival connects businessmen/women and multiple digital marketing firms from Lebanon and the Middle East, with a wide range of social media experts from Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and many others.
During the event, which took the format of presentations and networking activities, many appealing topics were covered. Those include: the importance of employee advocacy, effective advertising strategies on Twitter, skills of a social media manager, Facebook and Instagram strategies, effective social media presence, etc...
Elie Aoun was a speaker in one of the segments. He shared with the attendees interesting numbers on social media in the Middle East and how they can be made use of in the digital era.
On the second day of the event, the Middle East Social Media Award 2016 was launched for the first time. This award is dedicated to furthering social media excellence in the region and encouraging influencers. This year, three Lebanese social media experts were granted this award: Liliane Assaf, Regional Product Marketing Manager at Facebook, Anthony Rahayel, social media influencer and the man behind No Garlic No Onions, and lastly Ali Mattar, Head of Talent Solutions at LinkedIn.
