58% of Americans believe that the country is headed in the wrong direction, with Republicans (61%) and Democrats (56%) having a fair amount of pessimism. More Independents (67%) believe that the country is off on the wrong track.

2016 has been a turbulent year, with a number of global events, such as Brexit and the US presidential elections, influencing the global economic situation. Despite all the calamity of the outgoing year, all three Ipsos Global @dvisor economic assessment averages are finishing on a positive note.

But Albertans still have dismal assessment of the national (36%) and their local (26%) economies.
