Public Attitudes to Science 2014 Toolkit

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) commissioned Ipsos MORI to create a toolkit based on the Public Attitudes to Science (PAS) 2014 survey findings.

As part of the wider Public Attitudes to Science, Ipsos MORI was commissioned by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to run a ‘Day of Discovery’, during which 109 members of the public were engaged in a conversation about science and science engagement, using the results of the PAS 2014 survey as stimulus materials. These materials have been revised and made available as a toolkit, to enable others to run their own similar events.

The toolkit comprises of a document with instructions on how to set up an event and use the materials, and two PowerPoint documents containing materials to alter and use in your own events.

We have also prepared a short report on what was found at the PAS 2014 Day of Discovery, where these materials were piloted. The video below illustrates participants’ reaction to taking part on the day.
