COVID heroes, David Attenborough, the Queen and Marcus Rashford top Santa’s nice list for 2021 while politicians top the naughty list
A new poll by Ipsos, asks the British public to pick who from a list of 44 celebrities, politicians, public figures and other groups of people, who would make Santa’s naughty and nice list this year.
Top of the nice list are those at the front end of the fight against the COVID pandemic, namely NHS staff (60%) and the UK vaccine taskforce (48%). Making up the rest of the top 5 are David Attenborough (40%), the Queen (38%) and Marcus Rashford (35%).

In terms of Santa’s naughty list, Donald Trump is top of the pile for the second year running (53%) followed by Vladimir Putin (45%), Prime Minister Boris Johnson (44%), Dominic Cummings (43%) and former Health Secretary Matt Hancock (41%).

Ipsos Research Director Keiran Pedley said of the findings
Whilst polls of this nature are just a bit of fun for the Christmas period they do tell us a little bit about who the public like and dislike. For example, it is clear that those on the front line of the fight against Covid are celebrated, whilst the Queen, David Attenborough and Marcus Rashford are also something of national treasures too.
