It is extremely difficult to make accurate predictions, but that has never stopped us from trying.
Even people with deep subject matter expertise have mixed forecasting records - so we should be very wary of the projections that are offered to us.
But it still makes sense to prepare for what might be coming towards us, and to make ourselves resilient to a range of possibilities.
