Sunday Business Ranked In Top Three Of Most Useful Sunday Newspapers, By UK Captains Of Industry
Sunday Business has been ranked as the third most useful Sunday Newspaper by UK Captains of Industry, for keeping them informed on business matters.
The findings are revealed as part of MORI's annual survey of senior board members of the UK's top 500 companies, including Managing Directors, Chairmen, CEOs, Finance Directors and other board directors. This is the first time Sunday Business has been included in the annual poll, which is seen as an authoritative picture of senior British business opinion.
Sunday Business, The Sunday Times and Sunday Telegraph were the top three newspapers, ranked ahead of the Observer, the Independent on Sunday, the Mail on Sunday and the Sunday Express.
Sunday Business ranked 4th, overall, in a table of Sunday Newspapers read by UK Captains in the last seven days.
Andrew Hart, Managing Director of Sunday Business said: "It's a fact Sunday Business is what UK Captains of Industry are reading - we have known this for some time and the MORI poll now proves it. As far as we are aware, no other new, national Sunday newspaper has ever ranked so highly, so quickly, in MORI's Annual Captains of Industry poll - an unprecedented achievement. Coming on the back of our first ever ABC figures, which are well ahead of target, were extremely pleased with the growth of Sunday Business and the way things are going".
53% of all UK Captains of Industry who read Sunday Business, regard it as particularly useful in keeping them informed on business matters. This is more good news for the ten month old Sunday Business, which recently announced its first ABC sales figure of 50,151.
Sunday Business has produced its own advertising rate analysis of the MORI survey, in order to show the cost efficiency of reaching UK Captains of Industry through Sunday broadsheet and mid-market newspapers. Using published advertising rates, analysis shows that Sunday Business is most cost-efficient, with a cost per reader of 1.32, followed by the Sunday Times at 1.54 and the Sunday Telegraph at 1.57. The Mail on Sunday, the Independent on Sunday and the Observer were less cost efficient
