Britons’ top four issues facing the country have remained the same since August: immigration first, followed by the economy, the NHS, and inflation.

The proportion of those opposing the strikes has grown to 49%, the highest proportion Ipsos has recorded to date.

The proportion of Britons who have taken or know someone who has used weight loss injections has more than doubled from 13% in 2024 to 28% in 2025.

Over half (54%) of Britons say that they have been affected by dementia in some way.

Fifty per cent name immigration as an important issue for Britain. The economy and NHS remain the second- and third-biggest issues, mentioned by 35% and 25% respectively.

Six in ten (60%) believe that the government should adopt a cautious approach to AI, prioritising job protection and giving people enough time to adapt over rapid development.

The proportion of those opposing the strikes has grown to 45% (up from 31% in June 2024), while support has declined from 52% to 28%.

While Labour leads as the party seen as most likely to achieve its missions to improve the NHS and break down barriers to opportunity, Reform UK leads on “taking back our streets”, and the Greens on clean energy.

New Ipsos polling in the UK suggests Britons are responding positively to the recently unveiled NHS 10 Year Plan, with public more likely to say will make things better for patients (35%) than worse (9%).
