Public Perspectives: 47% of Americans Say the National Economy is Good

Consumer sentiment has improved as the U.S. economy grows and creates jobs since bottoming out in 2008. Nearly half (47%) of Americans say the national economy is somewhat or very good. This is up from 44% in December 2014 and significantly up from 19% in 2010. However, Americans are not significantly more confident in their personal finances.
