Brazil Pulse - Temer's Evaluation is Bad or Very Bad to 88% of Brazilians - July 2018
The country is still heading in the wrong direction to 95% of Brazilians, remaining at this level since June 2017. To 86% of Brazilians, the mood regarding the future of Brazil is of concern or outrage. With national pride being at a low, the anti-establishment feeling is increasingly ingrained in the Brazilian society: perfect storm for populist speeches and charismatic leaders.
Evaluation
The evaluation of the President is bad or very bad to 88% of Brazilians, same result obtained in the previous month. Governors are not in much better situation: 60% of Brazilians evaluate the administration of their governors as bad or very bad, reflecting the bad moment of Brazilian politics and the quality of public administration.
Confidence
Consumer confidence grew 3 percentage points in July and remained at 77 points, repeating the result of January this year. The indicators of job insecurity remain extremely high. Unemployment will be one of the main subjects for the next election.
