The goal of crowdsourcing is to source or divide work between numerous people, where each contributor adds a small contribution that is combined with other contributions to build on results. Crowdsourcing can range from commercial uses like My Starbucks Idea, to non-commercial uses like Wikipedia and crowdfunded solutions like Kickstarter.
