Real-world evidence is playing an increasing role in health care decision making for both regulators dealing with safety and approval to payers dealing with access. While automated healthcare databases (electronic health records, claims etc.) are comparatively great low budget resources, they often lack some of the key elements required for assessing the real-world evidence of a therapy. On the other side, patient registries can become expensive, requiring extensive resources and time thereby delaying critical decision making. In this session, we will discuss the current gaps, new methodologies and comprehensive approaches to generate real world evidence.
