"On average, UK men have five times the pension wealth of women at retirement age. That’s five times the security, independence and reward. So how does gender influence financial lives and what lies behind this later-life discrepancy? This film seeks answers, speaking to experts and hearing real stories from woman at different life stages. It features Baroness Altman, the award-winning expert on later-life issues, Sian Fisher, who leads the professional body for insurance and financial planning, and Professor Janette Rutherford, author and academic who has studied the history of women as investors. Together, they help lift the lid on the role gender continues to play in dictating financial circumstances and the very real consequences of imbalances in later life."
