[EVENT] Women & Water: A Ripple Effect
28 August 2018
14.00
Stockholm
Sweden
From August 26 to 31, World Water Week is the annual focal point for the globe’s water issues. It is organised by SIWI. In 2018, World Water Week will address the theme “Water, ecosystems and human development”.
On Tuesday 28 August, the Water and Development Alliance (WADA) showcase at Stockholm World Water Week will be an opportunity for Ipsos and many companies and partners to highlight their efforts to empower women globally through water. The conference will include:
- Ipsos overview of their findings from the ripple effect research: "The Women & Water Ripple Effect Study". With Ipsos’ research setting the stage, a panel of subject-matter experts will then discuss the role that research and evaluation play in advancing gender equality, particularly in the WASH sector.
- Introduction of two NGOs as the focus of a “spotlight” on the catalytic impact of pairing water interventions with empowering activities, particularly for women.
- Discussion with a second panel on how research and sector learnings inform their work and why they are investing at the intersection of water and women’s empowerment. The session will close with a Q&A and brief remarks.
This event will be livestreamed here
