From a nation-wide sample of respondents 89% believe that, thinking generally about quality of life in Kazakhstan, on balance, things in the country are moving in the right direction. Similarly, when asked generally if they felt positive or negative about Kazakhstan a total of 93% replied they feel ‘fairly’ or ‘very’ positive about their country.
Looking at current political events, 79% agreed that Kazakhstan is ready to hold the upcoming Presidential Election on the 26th April. The majority of respondents (82%) stated they were ‘certain’ or ‘very likely’ to vote in the coming election.
The Eurasian Council on Foreign Affairs (ECFA) is a recently established Brussels-based think tank dedicated to providing a forum for engagement between Central Asia and the European Union.
