Ipsos predicts presidential and congress election results with accuracy
Peruvians recently elected their President and Members of Congress and Ipsos played a key role in this electoral process. Despite extremely volatile circumstances, Ipsos’ voter opinions, political and party preferences and, most importantly, voting intentions data were accurate and reliable. Ipsos' poll results were featured on almost all media outlets - national TV, newspapers and social media - and constantly discussed by political analysts.
On election day, the Ipsos team in Peru projected the final results through:
- An Exit Poll - Ipsos asked a sample of voters who they voted for as they exited the voting centre. Results were published at 4:00pm after the voting centres closed.
- A Quick Count - Ipsos recorded and centralised voting results as announced at voting stations around the country. Results were published progressively, until the sample target was reached.
