Middle East - Primary Consumer Sentiment Index - July 2018
The Thomson Reuters/Ipsos Monthly Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI) was released today for the following countries: Israel and Saudi Arabia.
Israel
The Israel Primary Consumer Sentiment (“Consumer Confidence”) Index (“PCSI”) as measured by the Thomson Reuters/Ipsos PCSI for July,2018 is down 0.1 percentage points over last month.
The monthly PCSI result is driven by the aggregation of the four, weighted, sub-Indices: the PCSI Employment Confidence (“Jobs”) Sub- Index which is up 0.2 points; the PCSI Economic Expectations (“Expectations”) Sub-Index which is down 2.3 points; the PCSI Investment Climate (“Investment”) Sub-Index which is up 1.5 points; and the PCSI Current Personal Financial Conditions (“Current Conditions”) Sub-Index which is up 1.1 percentage points over last month.
Saudi Arabia
The Saudi Arabia Primary Consumer Sentiment (“Consumer Confidence”) Index (“PCSI”) as measured by the Thomson Reuters/Ipsos PCSI for July,2018 is up 1.1 percentage points over last month.
The monthly PCSI result is driven by the aggregation of the four, weighted, sub-Indices: the PCSI Employment Confidence (“Jobs”) Sub- Index which is up 2.7 points; the PCSI Economic Expectations (“Expectations”) Sub-Index which is up 1 points; the PCSI Investment Climate (“Investment”) Sub-Index which is down 0.1 points; and the PCSI Current Personal Financial Conditions (“Current Conditions”) Sub-Index which is up 0.4 percentage points over last month.
