How trustworthy is your profession? Generally, front-line public service workers (including members of the armed forces, health professionals and the police) tend to be more trusted than not.

In the 2024 edition of the Ipsos Global Trustworthiness Index we find doctors and scientists are the more trusted professions.

Perils of perception, prejudice and conspiracy theories

The gap between reality and perception is often massive. This is illustrated by a new survey carried out for the Royaumont Talks, whose theme this year was "Believing". The results were presented on 1 December at Royaumont Abbey by Didier Truchot, founder and chairman of Ipsos. In this survey, Ipsos tested the beliefs of the population in ten major countries on a range of social, political, economic and current affairs issues – and compared them with actual data.

Elections & social media: the battle against disinformation and trust issues

The reliability of online information being crucial during elections, UNESCO and Ipsos decided to conduct a survey in 16 countries where general elections will be held in 2024, and pose questions specific to this context: do people feel that disinformation have already had an impact on political life in their country? Are they concerned that disinformation will impact the next campaign?
