Die aktuelle Dezemberwelle des Nationalen WohlstandsIndex für Deutschland (NAWI-D) zeigt, dass die Deutschen ihren persönlichen Wohlstand insgesamt in etwa auf dem Niveau vom Dezember 2019, der letzten Erhebung vor Ausbruch der Pandemie, einstufen. Nach einem kleinen Einbruch im Dezember 2020 schätzen aktuell 54 Prozent ihren Wohlstand als „hoch“, 32 Prozent als „mittel“ und 14 Prozent als „niedrig“ ein. Doch es gibt deutliche Unterschiede bei den Faktoren, die für die Deutschen den Wohlstand ausmachen.

Die aktuelle Erhebung des Nationalen WohlstandsIndex für Deutschland (NAWI-D) zeigt eine leicht rückläufige Entwicklung des subjektiv empfundenen Wohlstands der Bürger in Deutschland. Der NAWI-D, den Ipsos zusammen mit Zukunftsforscher Professor Opaschowski seit 2012 vierteljährlich erhebt, misst den persönlichen Wohlstand anhand einer Reihe an Kriterien, die die Bevölkerung mit dem Begriff Wohlstand in Verbindung bringt. Seit der ersten Durchführung der bevölkerungsrepräsentativen Untersuchungen im Juni 2012 ist der Wohlstand bis zur letzten Vor-Corona-Erhebung im Dezember 2019 relativ kontinuierlich gestiegen. Im Jahr 2020 ließ sich jedoch ein spürbarer Rückgang bei vielen Faktoren erkennen, die den Menschen für das persönliche Wohlergehen wichtig sind.
