Ipsos Marketing were approached by Off Licence News to create the consumer perspective for The Drinks Retailing Awards 2015. The research provided insight into consumer and shopper preferences and how this impacts on retailers in the alcohol sector.
This infographic showcases the highlights from the project, covering topics including; what customers are buying, customer purchasing preference, what consumers want from retailers, and how independent retailers fair.
Key findings include:
- On average, over a quarter (29%) of those we spoke to claim to be buying less alcohol compared to the same time last year.
- At the same time, an average of 40% across categories believe there has been an increase in prices.
- When deciding which retailer to shop at, several attributes play a role, with value for money (63%) and convenience (58%) being most important.
