Public Perspectives: Tracking Healthcare on the National and Global Issue Agenda
Canadians rank healthcare (41%) as the top national issue, followed by unemployment and jobs (36%) and taxes (30%).
While healthcare continues to dominate the national issue agenda, it falls closer to the middle of the pack of issue concerns at a global level. Among the 24 countries surveyed, healthcare (22%) lands in the top five issues behind crime and violence (29%), corruption (33%), poverty and social inequality (34%), and unemployment and jobs (41%).
