Top 100 Best Places to Live, 2016

Is your city among the most livable in the U.S.? New research conducted by Ipsos on behalf of Livability ranks more than 2,000 small to mid-size cities to come up with their 3rd annual Top 100 Best Places to Live in the U.S.

This data-driven list is based on more than 40 data points and is the result of a collaboration between Ipsos, academics, urbanists, and advisors who have shaped the proprietary methodology and the framework ranking system. To get input from Americans across a spectrum of lives and lifestyles, Ipsos surveyed 2,000 American adults about what they found important in the communities in which they live and which they might one day consider moving to.

The top 3 spots go to Rochester (Minnesota), Bellevue (Washington), and Madison (Wisconsin).
