President Trump’s approval rating remains steady: 45% of all Americans approve of the way Trump is handling his job as President. Registered voters are slightly more likely to approve of Trump’s performance (47%).

President Trump’s approval rating remains steady among all Americans (45%) and registered voters (46%) this week.

President Trump’s overall approval rating this week stands at 44% among all Americans and 45% among registered voters, posting respectable gains in public sentiment.

This week’s Reuters/Ipsos Core Political release presents something of an outlier of our trend. Every series of polls has the occasional outlier and in our opinion this is one. So, while we are reporting the findings in the interest of transparency, we will not be announcing the start of a new trend until we have more data to validate this pattern.

Three-quarters around the world say their country’s society is divided – and the majority think their country is now more divided than it was 10 years ago, especially in Europe. Differences in political views are seen as the greatest cause of tension, followed by differences between rich and poor. However, despite these divisions, the majority of people in most countries agree that people across the world have more things in common than things that make them different.
