BBC most trustworthy for information about the Coronavirus pandemic
Of those who had heard news about the Coronavirus pandemic in the last 7 days, 48% said they feel the BBC is most trustworthy for information about the Coronavirus pandemic. Almost 1 in 10 adults (8%) said Sky News followed by 7% who said ITV News.
This survey looked to understand public opinion on who they would go to for news relating to the Coronavirus pandemic. Respondents were first asked if they had seen, read or heard any information about the Coronavirus pandemic. For those that had, they were asked where they had got the information and who they felt was most trustworthy for information about the Coronavirus pandemic.
Technical note
Interviews were conducted on behalf of the BBC using an online omnibus approach, among 2,231 adults aged 16-75 in the United Kingdom. Fieldwork was conducted between the 3rd and 6th of April 2020. Data is weighted to match the profile of the UK population.
