COVIDWATCH: Was it really the Great British Piss Up?
Our ethnography team have been following Britons as they begin to go back to the pubs following the easing of coronavirus lockdown rules.
Last weekend, pubs and restaurants opened in the UK. It was dubbed as the Great British Piss Up, but was it? Was it a return to life as normal? And did people feel safe when going to the pub?
We’ve been following people since the beginning of March to see how habits and behaviours have changed over the crisis. We looked at how people balanced the risks associated with going to the pub, with the desire for life to go back to normal.
