RESEARCH MANAGER / SENIOR RESEARCH MANAGER - SG HEALTHCARE

JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Research Manager oversees all phases of a marketing research study for assigned Healthcare clients by performing the tasks and activities required for a successful study. These include managing local and regional fieldwork and liaising with local affiliates for the successful completion of regional studies:

  • manages the integration of internal and external information sources to deliver exceptional insight to the clients
  • contribute to development of company strategic research framework
  • building and nurturing relationships and credibility with clients
  • participates on team planning, company initiatives and growth of business

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES
Must possess the following qualities:
Experience:

  • At least 7 years of strong market research experience, both local and regional market research experience - Healthcare market research experience is not essential.
  • Solid experience in questionnaire design, table specifications and project management
  • Understand and use statistical analysis
  • Selling of research projects and capabilities
  • Ideally, experienced in relevant category or sectors

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Social Science, Statistics or related studies

 

Outputs / Accountabilities:

  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge or Ipsos-Insights products and services, including competitive marketplace offerings, in order to identify and propose potential opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Manages and fosters positive ongoing relationship with key contacts (decision making personnel) at client portfolio
  • Demonstrates in depth understanding of client’s product, service and strategy and their competitive market in order to build and grow Ipsos credibility and business with client
  • Anticipates future needs of clients based upon their issues in order to proactively influence Ipsos-Insight product development and delivery improvements
  • Oversee the team to ensure flawless execution of all market research projects from design to delivery
  • Proactively works with cross-functional department managers to continuously improve process and ensure their understanding and expectations of current and future client needs
  • Develops, manages and mentors staff to build client understanding across all disciplines to work process vs. just project orientation, strategic insight and presentation skills
  • Works with Research Managers to review all proposals and presentations to ensure that they are delivering key thinking on business issues
  • Presents compelling insights to client in a way that evokes confidence and expertise and translates complicated insights in an actionable way that will be relevant to a broad client audience (including research and marketing/brand)
  • Contributes to and actively manages assigned revenue and profit margin.
  • Work in partnership with the team and ensure that everyone understand what is expected of them in contributing to the goals of the organization
  • Regularly provide performance feedback and also seek feedback from team members
  • Model the values of the organization and maintain the standard of conduct in the workplace

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal:

  • Associate Research Director / Research Director to discuss performance and agree action on roles and responsibilities
  • Effective interface with the business areas and Operations and Corporate Departments and External Suppliers
  • Promote teamwork in the business area, Division and across Ipsos
  • Lead by example and behavior (incorporating values) within the business area
  • Direct and manage the project team activities
  • Behave in a manner that displays professionalism, integrity and corporate citizenship at all times
