The 2018 Ipsos Climate Change Report

Every year, Ipsos surveys Australians to understand changes in our attitudes and sentiments relating to climate change and other environmental issues.

At the start of a year when Australians will go to the polls for state and federal elections, it is timely to reflect on public attitudes about climate change and energy policies.

This latest report uncovers a growing momentum for action on climate change and acceptance of the role of humans in causing it. We also find that the majority of Australians believe that they will not be negatively impacted by a move towards renewables and that support for climate action by the government is on the rise.
