Support for government drops after Hockey’s housing gaffe – Fairfax Ipsos Poll
Labor is ahead of the Coalition in the June Fairfax Ipsos Poll. Labor has 53% of the two-party preferred vote (up 3 points since May), ahead of the Coalition on 47% (down 3 points since May), based on 2013 election preferences. This indicates a swing of 6.5 percentage points against the Abbott Government since the 2013 Federal election.

Climate change: Australians believe extreme weather events are already more frequent
More than six in 10 Australians (62%) believe that climate change is already impacting our nation’s environment by causing more extreme droughts and extreme storm events, according to the Ipsos Climate Change Report.

‘Fair’ coalition budget leads to upsurge in support – Fairfax Ipsos Poll
A majority (52%) of voters are satisfied with the Federal Budget delivered by Treasurer Joe Hockey on Tuesday, and more than one third (35%) are dissatisfied, giving a balance of opinion of +17, according to the latest national Fairfax Ipsos Poll.

NSW Premier Mike Baird maintains strong approval as the Coalition set for victory – Fairfax Ipsos poll
The NSW state Coalition is maintaining its lead over the ALP, the latest Fairfax Ipsos NSW state Poll shows. Given the change in electoral law that now allows NSW voters to enroll on the day, the figures for this poll are based on all those who said they are certain to vote at the state election this Saturday.

Issues Monitor December 2014: Victoria
As Daniel Andrews settles himself into the top job there won’t be much time to get comfortable. For the first time ever, Victorians selected ‘Unemployment’ as the top issue facing our state in December 2014. The new premier was elected (partly, at least) on the promise he would introduce legislation to push against that rising tide.
