What Worries the World in 2017?
Every month across the year, our What Worries the World survey series has asked an online sample of over 18,000 citizens in 26 core countries about the biggest worries for their nation, presenting them with a list of 17 concerns ranging from crime and violence to childhood obesity.

The majority (65%) of Indian people think things in the country are heading in the right direction. Financial/political corruption currently occupies the top spot for concern with 51% saying this.

What Worries the World study finds the majority of people across 26 countries think that their country is on the wrong track — South Africa, Italy, Brazil and Mexico being the most concerned. Argentina and Poland have seen the biggest increase in optimism.
