Human rights in Europe: an Ipsos survey in partnership with EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA)

Although 88% of European citizens believe that human rights contribute to a fairer society, 44% of people who struggle financially think fundamental rights only benefit those who do not deserve them.

It is alarming how many young Europeans or those who struggle to make ends meet feel abandoned by human rights. Human rights are for everyone and nobody should feel left behind. The number of people who feel disenchanted by corruption and how our democratic society works should prompt EU countries to take action

comments FRA Director Michael O’Flaherty during the press conference yesterday, supporting the launch of Fundamental Rights Survey, conducted in partnership with Ipsos.
