The changing food habits and attitudes of consumers in Saudi Arabia during the pandemic.

With the COVID-19 pandemic impacting various behaviors and inflicting change upon consumers' habits, we have seen changes in eating trends in different markets.

In Saudi Arabia, around half of consumers have become more mindful of what they are eating during the pandemic, and one in two are eating more balanced meals. Furthermore, two in three consumers have increased their intake of home-cooked meals and the majority intend to continue this habit post pandemic. When it comes to shopping habits, despite around a third of shoppers doing more grocery shopping through online channels, traditional channels remained the most popular generally, while online channels proved more popular shopping channels amongst more affluent segments of society.
