The January Ipsos Political Monitor shows the highest level of support Ipsos has recorded for UKIP in a national poll.

The January Ipsos Political Monitor shows the highest level of support Ipsos has recorded for UKIP in this long running series of national voting intentions. Among those who say they are certain to vote at an immediate general election 9% say they would vote for UKIP.
Support for the Liberal Democrats has fallen to the lowest Ipsos has recorded since 1990: 8% of those certain to vote. Labour, meanwhile, hold a 13 point lead over the Conservatives, with Labour on 43% and the Conservatives on 30%.
- 27% are satisfied with the performance of the government, 64% dissatisfied. The net satisfaction of -37 is down four points from December
- 34% are satisfied with David Cameron, 59% dissatisfied. The net rating of -25 is down six since last month
- 36% are satisfied with Ed Miliband, 48% are dissatisfied, with a net rating down nine points to -12
- 28% are satisfied with Nick Clegg, 61% are dissatisfied. His rating of -33 is unchanged.
Gideon Skinner, Head of Political Research at Ipsos said:
UKIP is benefiting from the frustration with the main parties, and this result comes after their support has been creeping up over the last 12 months.
Technical Details Ipsos interviewed a representative sample of 1,015 adults aged 18+ across Great Britain. Interviews were conducted by telephone 12 – 14 January 2013. Data are weighted to match the profile of the population.
