Ipsos was commissioned by HMIC to undertake a public survey of views and experiences of local police. The findings from the survey inform HMIC's PEEL 2015 Assessments. PEEL is an annual assessment of each of the 43 police forces in England and Wales that considers the Effectiveness, Efficiency and Legitimacy of policy, practice and performance.
The survey of 26,458 members of the public was conducted online through Ipsos’s online panel between 15th July and 6th August 2015.
