    Britain Lags Behind On Mobile Internet

    One in three (33%) British mobile phone users want to surf the web on their mobile phones, but only if it is like the true Internet environment. To date only one in ten (11%) British mobile users have browsed the Internet on a mobile, compared to over one in four (28%) world wide*, according to new research commissioned by InfoGin, a leading pioneer in the field of web to mobile content adaptation. The survey of 900 mobile users, conducted by Ipsos, indicates that despite clear consumer demand, UK mobile operators have not put enough focus on enabling true web browsing on mobile phones.

    Ipsos Political Monitor April

    This month's Ipsos Political Monitor finds the lowest level of satisfaction with the Government since it was first elected in 1997. The poll, which was conducted between 27 April and 2 May, finds that 22% are satisfied with the way the Government is running the country, compared to 68% who are dissatisfied, a net satisfaction score of -46%, eight percentage points lower than in March.

    Ipsos conducted research on behalf of the CRE (Commission for Racial Equality) looking at perceptions of ethnic minorities regarding careers in print media. The report is based on data from a wider study of public awareness of the CRE conducted by Ipsos on behalf of the CRE. A nationally representative survey of 511 British adults, aged 16+, was conducted between March and April 2005.

    Ipsos research, conducted on behalf of Disney and O2, reveals that parents of children aged between 8 and 16 believe the overall advantages of a child using a mobile phone outweigh the overall disadvantages. A majority would welcome a mobile phone package especially designed for use by families with children.
