According to the August Reuters/Ipsos Core Political survey, Americans express divided views on the most important problem facing the country. The poll indicates that political extremism is the most frequently cited concern, followed by the economy and crime or corruption, though these are mentioned less often. Notably, immigration is no longer ranked among the top three issues. The survey also finds that public perception of the country's direction has remained stable, though it leans pessimistic.
