It is the job of advertising to elicit a reaction from consumers. It is the job of advertisers to
plot the course on how to do this. Recently Gillette, a P&G brand, has chosen to use its
significant reach to address an issue that has been increasingly top of mind for many over
the last decade. With the release of a short film titled ‘We Believe: The Best Men Can Be,’
the brand took a firm stance on the need for an evolution from ‘boys will be boys’ to a
more positive definition of masculinity. One thing is clear—this choice has certainly elicited
a reaction! -
She Speaks: Ten things you need to know about women in MENA
Ipsos has conducted a new syndicated multi-country survey seeking to understand the attitudes, aspirations, lifestyles and interests of women in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
For the She Speaks survey, 13,500 women were surveyed face-to-face across nine countries – Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Morocco, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon – to understand their attitudes, aspirations, lifestyles and behaviours. To add further depth to the analysis, 92 focus groups and 120 interviews (face-to-face and using mobile apps) were also carried out across the countries.
