Lives on hold: Understanding the experience of Ukrainian refugees and IDPs - July 2023
This research, conducted by Ipsos in Switzerland for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), explores the plans, perspectives and intentions of Ukrainian refugees across Europe, and internally displaced persons (IDPs) within Ukraine.
The analysis is based on a fourth round of UNHCR intentions surveys, based on 3,850 interviews with refugee households across Europe, and the first round of interviews with 4,000 IDP households in Ukraine.
The interviews were conducted between April and May 2023 and are complemented with findings from focus group discussions conducted by UNHCR.
